The 1967 series upped the ante and featured 609 cards with full colored photographs on each one. The backs of the cards featured improved easier to read stat tables. The Mickey Mantle card from this series as well as the series as a whole is considered on of the favorites Topps ever issued. The rarest card in the series was the Roger Maris #45, it`s a proof card that lists him as a Yankee. The '67 Mantle cards are next in line for greatest cards of the series along with the Pete Rose, the Tony Perez, and the Brooks Robinson. The top rookie cards are Rod Carew and Tom Seaver. The book value for a Mint/Near Mint 1967 Mantle is about $300.00, but may be due for a steep rise in the near future.
