1969 Topps Mickey Mantle Cards

This year would be Mickey Mantle`s last Topps card. The 1969 card sees a return of Mickey batting left handed in the picture. Mickey announced his retirement too late to be excluded from Topps cards. The circle in top denotes Mantle`s name. Mickey Mantel`s last year and another All-Star year for the American great. Clearly, a finishing touch to any valued Topps baseball card collection.

Mantle`s final series with Topps contained 664 cards all with very nice layout and design but questionable photos. This was also the last year Topps issued five-card nickel packs and the last year that featured multi-player star cards. Top cards in this series include: Rollie Fingers, Reggie Jackson, Bobby bonds and Graig Nettles. Johnny bench and Nolan Ryan cards are favorites as well.
